The village of Ross is ideally situated in the centre of Tasmania. It is only 45 minutes driving time from to Launceston, 45 minutes to the east coast or 75 minutes to Hobart.

Ross offers heritage sandstone architecture in an Elm lined village. Cottage gardens abound and there are craft shops, antique shops, bakeries and museums as well as churches and relic sites to explore.

The focal point is the superb Ross Bridge build around 1830 with its famous engraved Celtic motifs.

A wonderful friendly heritage village waiting to be explored and admired.

The Macquarie River and surrounding lakes are world reknowned for their Rainbow and Brown trout.

second oldest bridge in Australia.
